Is it crazy talk to change into dressy flats halfway through the reception?

Of course you should make sure you have comfy footwear for your reception! My mom harassed me so much last year about my choice of flip flops, but I told her that if I had to wear heels for 6 hours, I would be so cranky that I would have to leave the reception before dessert was served! I got orthaheel flip flops which look nice, not cheap. My gown was short so I had to make sure my shoes still looked ok but if you have a long gown, none of your guests will ever know you changed shoes anyway.
